CodeShare News | December 15, 2006   9:34 AM | Comments (0)

There has been a lot happening over the last two weeks on CodeShare.  We have had one new project submitted and two new code samples.  Outside of the community submissions, CodeShare has also started the process of upgrading our core software.  We will not get too deep into the features, as we will discuss this closer to the upgrade time, but you can expect the following:

  • Project Templates - These are easier to create and maintain templates that new projects will use.
  • Wiki-like Content Management - There will be a WYSIWYG editor for all of your managed HTML content.

As I mentioned, we will discuss this further closed to the end of January.  Let's see what the community has provided by means of new code samples and projects.  As always,
if you have any questions about submitting a new project or code sample, please contact the Community Manager.

New Code Samples

There are two new code samples available now thanks to a few BEA engineers.  These BEA engineers have decided to provide you with a tutorial on reading tag data from the ThingMagic Mercury4 RFID reader and a mechanism for directing ALSB calls to i5/OS and OS/400 programs written in many languages.  Let's get more information.

New Projects

The newest project in the CodeShare community is the wli-scriptgen project. This project's purpose is to give you a single tool for deploying your WebLogic applications including all necessary reasons. For more information about the wli-scripgen project, read on:

The CodeShare Community Managers would like to thank you for your involvement in CodeShare.  Please keep the submissions coming and please let us know if we can assist you with anything.

Take care,

Jeremy
