Just want to let all those ESBers out there know…there was recently an article published on IT2IT where I was interviewed on my favorite subject: ESBs and the importance of Service Mediation

I2I: What’s the single biggest benefit to service mediation? How does an organization say they’ve achieved their goal?

DH: In one word: agility. You’ll see the benefit when you add a service at the drop of a hat without having to rebuild existing systems. Another scenario is when companies merge and consolidate. Being able to get new divisions online quickly and removing redundant systems is another tangible benefit. By decoupling services, allowing more flexibility and not allowing them to be impacted by change is where companies will see the benefits of their newfound agility.
