It's been out for a couple of weeks but in case you haven't seen it, there's a Maintenance Pack 1 (MP1) available for Workshop for WebLogic 9.2. Be sure to grab this update to get the latest fixes for this release.

The download can be found here:

  • Hi Chris

Can you clarify what MP1 actually is.

While I can see that all downloads from the link provided now have MP1 in their descriptive label, there are no release notes (that I can find) that explicitly mention MP1 or what things have changed. Usually the Release notes refer to a Service Pack Level.

I can also see both a WL Platform MP1 and a Workshop MP1 download.

To add to the confusion, my Workshop installation doesn't find any new updates but I'm sure I updated to 9.2.1 quite a way back

Any advice would be appreciated - I don't want to re-install lots of things to find that I'm actually already up to date

Personally I prefer to stick with the Workshop that comes with a WL Platform release.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

MP1 contains both runtime and IDE changes from 9.2 GA. On the IDE side, it essentially contains the Design View Update that was released in October. Since you already have the update that's why it's saying there's nothing more to update.

On the runtime side there are a number of fixes. These are documented in the release notes for 9.2.1. You can find those here: http://e-docs.bea.com/workshop/docs92/relnotes/relnotes.html. This document details the CRs that are included on the runtime side. Have a look there to see if there are fixes there that you need.

As for the different packages, the Workshop that's included in all of the "MP1" packages is the same.

    Hope this helps.
