WebLogic Event Server 2.0 Development Environment for Eclipse Now GA!
Formerly released as a Technology Preview, the Event Server Development Environment
for Eclipse ("Event Server Tools") are now supported and generally available.
This release of the tools contains improvements to the Technology Preview features
as well as additional features not available in that release. Highlights of the
2.0 release include:
- Simple Event Server project setup
- Event Server startup/shutdown/deployment control from within the IDE
- Editors for Java and XML artifacts that comprise an Event Server application
- EPL Syntax Highlighting
- Integrated "One Button" debugging
- Application Export wizard for distributing the built application to other environments
For download and installation instructions please visit the Event Server Tools
Update Site.
** Tech Preview Users **
Those already using the Tech Preview tools should be careful to read the installation
notes on the update site linked above. While the tools can be installed over the
existing Tech Preview installation, projects and server definitions must be recreated
or some features will not work.
