We have followed Sun's announcement on the new "GPL-friendly" license for Linux distributors, and the subsequent discussions, with much interest. I think it's great that Sun shows a desire to accomodate the needs of the Linux community, and in my mind this is a further proof of the importance of Linux and the open source community!
JRockit has long had a very liberal end-user license. Part of the license has been written specifically to facilitate bundling JRockit with 3rd party software, including Linux distributions. However, there have been some limits on we could do based on our own license agreement with Sun. Our legal department is now reviewing Sun's new DLJ license to see if we can use it to make our own license even more flexible.
If you have any concerns or comments on the JRockit license, let us know!

The DLJ license has nothing GPL-friendly. At most, it is distributor-friendly, if you consider the 2.f clause to be friendly. (which is not the only problematic clause).
The difference between before the DLJ license and now is that before you were not allowed to distribute the Sun JVM. Now, you can. At your own risks.
