A user may gain access to application resources.
A problem was identified that could potentially cause a security vulnerability in WebLogic Mobility Server. A patch is available to correct this problem (see Section II). BEA Systems treats potential security problems with a high degree of urgency and endeavors to take appropriate steps to help ensure the security of our customers’ systems. As a result, BEA Systems strongly suggests the following actions:

I. Advisory
Any sites that have deployed the Image Converter functionality of WebLogic Mobility Server are susceptible to this vulnerability. This functionality is enabled by default in WebLogic Mobility Server applications created with BEA WebLogic Workshop (WebLogic Portal 8.1.x) and BEA Workshop for WebLogic Platform (WebLogic Portal 9.x / 10.x).
This advisory resolves the issue by allowing the administrator to restrict access to only designated web resources.

The following versions of WebLogic Mobility Server are affected by this vulnerability
- WebLogic Mobility Server 3.3 on all platforms.
- WebLogic Mobility Server 3.5 on all platforms.
- WebLogic Mobility Server 3.6 released through Service Pack 1, on all platforms.
II. SUGGESTED ACTION
BEA Systems strongly recommends the following course of actions.

Login to your portal using an account with admin privilege.
Download the following ZIP file and follow the instructions in the README (readmeWLMS.txt) file:

Future releases of WebLogic Mobility Server will include the functionality of this patch.
