This document explains the philosophy behind the new CodeShare, what you can expect from the system, a listing of projects that are currently available in the CodeShare system, and how to use it to create and host your own projects. Dec. 6, 2004

3 Open Source Projects, four WLP 9.2, four AUI 6.0 and two WLS 9.2 Code Samples: Lots of Open Source projects and code samples this week for you to catch up with - we'll post some today and the rest next week. The new projects cover auditing of your your config.xml for WebLogic Server, a demo app for Partner Relationship Management API of WLNG and a sample application built around the Eclipse BIRT Schema and Spring. We had four WebLogic Portal 9.2, Four AquaLogic User Interaction 6.0 and two WLS 9.2 Code Samples. If you have any questions about submitting a new project or code sample, please contact the CodeShare Community Manager.

Latest CodeShare Projects and Code Samples: Here's the latest on the what's going on in CodeShare. We have 3 new Code Samples and 3 new Open Source incubations to tell you about and as we mentioned in the previous post, you can find a summary of the latest CodeShare activity on the home page. As of now, CodeShare has 12, 686 users, 263 Code Samples and 133 Projects.

CodeShare Usability Improvements: We've been making a lot of changes on CodeShare. There is a new look and feel to CodeShare along with more fresh and relevant content as well as more concise and easy to follow documentation and help. The latest version of CodeShare (based on CollabNet version 4.1.5) also comes with a number of new features.

Project News: We've had a new project incubation and two graduations lately in CodeShare - Here's what's been going on .. John Graves has recently incubated the cmimportexport project, The wli-worklist-framework incubated project, lead by Mike Tinius, and the eclipse-wlst project, lead by Suchin Rengan have recently graduated. The WebLogic eclipse-plugin continues to be the most popular project in CodeShare.

New CodeShare Features and Content: We've recently added a number of CodeShare structure and functionality features: top level category browsing, site announcements, Project Tools, dev2dev permanent links, Subversion (1.1.1) symbolic link support and the ability for project owners to "subscribe others"

Certified Code Samples Now in Codeshare - Exciting New Codeshare Projects: We have migrated all certified code samples into the bea-certified Codeshare category, which can be accessed from the main list of categories. Once you select a certified code sample from the list , you can follow the instructions on its home page to download, install and use it. Above and beyond the 12 graduated projects, and 9 incubated projects in Codeshare, we've recently had 4 newly incubated, 1 new graduated and another 6 projects waiting for approval.
