Felipe Cabrera


Felipe Cabrera is a software architect at Microsoft Corporation. His current assignment is with the XML Web Services team. Prior to joining Microsoft Cabrera held appointments with IBM Corporation, the University of California at Berkeley, Hewlett Packard Corporation, the Palo Alto Research Center of Xerox Corporation and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Cabrera received a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.

Web Services Coordination (WS-Coordination)
This specification (WS-Coordination) describes an extensible framework for providing protocols that coordinate the actions of distributed applications.  Such coordination protocols are used to support a number of applications, including those that need to reach consistent agreement on the outcome of distributed transactions. Mar. 25, 2004

Web Services Transaction (WS-Transaction)
This specification describes coordination types that are used with the extensible coordination framework described in the WS-Coordination specification. It defines two coordination types: Atomic Transaction (AT) and Business Activity (BA). Developers can use either or both of these coordination types when building applications that require consistent agreement on the outcome of distributed activities. Jan. 30, 2004
