Another Chapter Begins: At the end of this week, I will no longer be employed by BEA Systems. It has been a great 4 years working at BEA, and undoubtedly the highlight of my career thus far. BEA Workshop, ** Now With AJAX **: We have recently released a tech-preview of an integration of BEA Workshop with IceFaces. You can try out this new feature from our Eclipse Download site. The ICEfaces tooling feature is an extension of the award-winning JSF tools already shipping in Workshop. It's fully AppXRay enabled, which provides edit-time error detection, Smart Editor assistance with tag attributes, and smart navigation between markup, JSF configuration files, and Java types -- all the familiar capabilities that Workshop JSF tooling offers can now be used to help develop an Ajax web application. Workshop: Letting us know where the crashes are.: Let's face it. Sometimes software crashes. We all get Null Pointer Exceptions, Blue Screens of Death, and Core Dumps. BEA Workshop Studio 3.3 * Now Available *: I am please to report that BEA Workshop Studio 3.3 is now available. The primary new feature with this release is a feature called Web Folder Mapping that allows you to assemble your source files in a folder organization that matches the needs of your development team, not in a structure required by the server or the IDE.
