Project Managing SOA Projects: There has been a lot of interest around SOA from a design and business perspective. Most conferences that I have attended and those that I have spoken at all seem to focus on a few aspects of SOA. In particular technical design and more recently some of the financial aspects of SOA such as ROI (Return On Investment) and CBA (Cost Benefits Analysis). XP Release Tools: Its been a while since I was involved on a full lifecycle implementation project. Affordance: Maybe its the constant presence of Starbucks on every corner or
the proliferation of IPod's on everyone from janitors to wall St.

Eclipse and UML roundtripping: I was on a quest to hunt down the best UML modelling plugin for Eclipse. Definition Label: For any of you that have worked with Portal, one of the items that you have to get your head around is the differences between streaming mode and file or .portal mode. Streaming mode provides additional functionality such as entitlements and performance improvements but it also means that everything is now stored in the database and constrainted by referential integrity rules. Reeter: I have been working on a project which I will upload to codeshare soon which I have called Reeter. Reeter is an Rss fEEd eaTer that is a small utility task that based on a configuration file polls RSS feeds and inserts them directly into BEA's CMS. First Post: I sometimes take a bit of a different angle to technical problems, believing that for a project to be successful there needs to be a strong mix of technical and business objectives.
