Enterprise Mashups with WebLogic Portal 9.2

Portlets have traditionally been confined to portal applications—you needed an application server running a portal container to view them. The new Adrenaline technology introduced in WebLogic Portal 9.2 enables portlets to be surfaced in any web site, without the need for a portal container. This enables Adrenaline portlets to appear not only in custom web applications, but also consumer Mashup sites like Google Portal and Protopage.

This presentation will demonstrate how to surface your WebLogic Portal 9.2 portlets in Google Portal and Protopage. It will also demonstrate how to enable the reverse-surface Google Gadgets within a WebLogic Portal 9.2 portal.

This session is targeted towards a technical audience that would like to understand how WebLogic Portal 9.2 can provide greater efficiency and agility with portlet components.

Peter Laird is the Managing Architect of the WebLogic Portal product. Peter currently focuses on emerging portal and portlet rendering initiatives, like the Adrenaline feature offered in WebLogic Portal 9.2.
