Description: "How can I add Ajax capabilities to my portlets? Do I need to throw away my current code and start from all over again? Are there ways to enhance my portlets with Ajax capabilities?" These are some of the questions that enterprise developers face today. In this webinar, we will look at various mechanisms that can be used to make portlets Web 2.0 capable, without necessarily rewriting existing portlet applications. We will start this webinar by looking at the programming model in JSR168 and what developers can do for their Ajax use cases, and then move on to JSR286 and see how far this API goes towards solving Ajax use cases. We will then look at a solution that can be used across a wide range of portlet programming models, such as Struts, Page Flows, JSR168, JSR286, or even remote portlets using WSRP, and how the same solution can be used in conjuction with Ajax frameworks such as Dojo. In his webinar, we will look at several code samples and live demos using WebLogic Portal. The key take-away from this webinar will be to learn how to leverage existing investments in Web 1.0 portlets and add Web 2.0 capabilities.Presenter: Subbu Allamaraju is the driver behind portal federation, and in recent years, focusing on portal-related standards such as JSR286, JSR301 and WSRP. |
