SOA has emerged as a popular IT strategy due to its ability to support business agility, integrate IT silos, promote reuse, cost savings, and so forth. But these benefits do not appear by simply changing coding practices. They require consistency of service architecture which results from proper planning. And they require an infrastructure framework that links all the pieces together ensuring interoperability as well as security. As the maturity of the SOA evolves, so too does the infrastructure. From the early adoption phase through mature, optimized SOA, infrastructure plays a key role. This session discusses the need for SOA infrastructure, how it promotes SOA maturity, and how to plan for it.
