Description:

This presentation illustrates step-by-step procedure for leveraging the very popular Spring Framework as well as Hibernate by building a sample application and deploying it on the WebLogic Server (WLS). The presentation starts by providing a very brief two minute elevator pitch on the Spring Framework as well as Hibernate. The presentation illustrates architecture, design, and configuration considerations, issues and challenges of using these open source frameworks on WLS. The goal is to show how these frameworks leverage all the power and capabilities of WLS’s implementation of JEE standards such as Java Transaction API (JTA), Java Management eXtensions (JMX), Java Naming and Directory (JNDI), and Java Connector Architecture (JCA). The goal of the presentation is to show how easy it is to create dynamic and flexible applications using Spring Framework and Hibernate running on WLS.
