Eva Andreasson
Eva Andreasson received an M.Sc. degree from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden in 2002, within Computer Science (Autonomic Systems). She also received the award of Best Master Thesis Project 2002 for her project regarding the usage of machine learning in JVMs. From 2001, she has been employed at BEA Systems Stockholm Engineering, as a part of the memory management development team within the JRPG. Her current work interests include the heuristics behind the memory system, the dynamic garbage collector in JRockit and future work on SSI systems, although previous projects also have included reinforcement learning. She is the author of Reinforcement learning for a more dynamic garbage collector and presented that project at JVM-02. She also co-presented a talk about the Dynamic Garbage Collector in JRockit at E-world 03. She has also provided BEA with several patent applications within the area of memory management. Her work has been mainly focused on making the garbage collection of a JVM more adaptive by considering application profiling data during runtime for a more dynamic and optimally configured garbage collection.

Jeff has extensive experience developing retail applications, such as Act!(tm) For Windows and Macintosh and a number of other commercially available applications, principally in the telecom and medical fields. Ajay Gandhi is the Director for Enterprise Social Computing at BEA Systems where he heads the worldwide strategy, partnership and marketing initiatives for Web 2.0 social computing products within BEA's Business Interaction Division.

Previously at BEA, Mr. Gandhi was a Director of Product Management for the BEA AquaLogic Product Family and was responsible for platform strategy, product planning and strategic partnerships. Prior to BEA, Ajay held senior product management positions at several software companies developing products in CRM, analytics and collaborative development. He was also a Principal with Crimson Ventures focused on infrastructure software companies in the areas of distributed BPM, security policy compliance and vertically focused EAI. Earlier in his career, Ajay worked as a consultant in McKinsey's Worldwide Technology Practice and as an engineer at Microsoft, Intel and Corel.

Heinrich Gantenbein is part of the Idesign group, which specialized in .NET development. In this role, Heinrich helps customers currently using Java and J2EE understand what .NET is and how it can be utilized to benefit their business and how to architect multi-tier distributed data access application. He also participates in Microsoft's Preview Labs to give feedback on future .NET technologies. He has more than 18 years of experience in software engineering and engineering management, combining both architectural excellence and commitment to a productive development process. Heinrich held senior executive positions at Silicon Valley Group, KLA-Tencor, IBM's joint venture MAS, GolfPro International and many successful Internet start-ups. Previously, Heinrich was the Director of Engineering for Excite@Home, where he managed large teams which developed multi-tier applications for the domestic and international markets.

Benjamin Renaud is a strategist in the Office of the CTO at BEA Systems. In that role he helps set BEA's technical vision and guides its execution. He came to BEA via the acquisition of WebLogic, where he was a pioneer in Java and Web application server technology. Prior to joining WebLogic, Benjamin worked on the original Java team for Sun Microsystems, where he helped create Java 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2.

Naresh Revanuru
Naresh Revanuru is a senior software engineer working in the BEA WebLogic engineering team. Naresh is the team lead for the BEA WebLogic core/clustering subsystem. He works in the areas of kernel, workload management, timers, protocols and clustering/HA. Naresh has worked at BEA Systems for the past 5 years

Bertrand Richardson
When Bertrand Richardson is not playing volleyball or his guitar, he moonlights as a Senior Software Engineer with considerable experience in designing and implementing Web applications. Although his focus is mainly on dev2dev's user interface workflow and content management system integration, Bertrand also helps out with project management and other miscellaneous tasks needed to keep dev2dev running smoothly.

Chris Richardson

Chris Richardson is a developer and architect with over 20 years of experience. He is the author of POJOs in Action, which describes how to build enterprise Java applications with POJOs and lightweight frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.

Mika Rinne is a senior consultant with BEA Systems Inc. He has been programming since he was 13 and in 1995 built an Internet and BEA TUXEDO-based online ticket-selling service, the first of its kind in Scandinavia.

Jim Rivera
Jim is a director of technology with BEA Systems. In this role, Jim is responsible for driving adoption of BEA products through technology evangelism. Jim joined BEA in 1999 and was lead Technical Product Manager for the BEA WebLogic Server 6, 7, and 8 releases. In this role, Jim was responsible for the strategy and roadmap for various components of the server including EJB, Web Services, XML, and clustering. He has over 13 years of experience in software development, strategy, marketing, and electrical engineering.

Hu Ji Rong
Hu Ji Rong has been working on J2EE since 1999. He was developing e-banking and e-trading system on BEA WebLogic platform in Netlife Singapore. Last year, he started working on WebSphere product family in Lido AeroNet. He has a B.E. in Telecommunication engineer and M.Sc. In information security.
