Chris Bucchere Chris Bucchere

Chris Bucchere is President & CEO of bdg, a portal consultancy specializing in deploying AquaLogic User Interaction and building integration between ALUI and other enterprise software products. His background includes almost five years at Plumtree, finishing his career there as a Lead Engineer in the Integration Products division and responsible for the development of the Microsoft Excel and Siebel Portlet Frameworks and the IMAP, Exchange and Documentum Portlet Suites.

Chris was a featured speaker at the 2005 Plumtree Odyssey & Advanced Developer Conference, at the San Francisco State University School of Business and at several NovaJUG/BUG events. He also hosts the world's only ALUI Podcast. Chris's 10 years of experience in Plumtree/ALUI and in enterprise portals, combined with his business acumen and keen wit, make for an interesting blog about the many ways to install, configure, integrate and deploy AquaLogic User Interaction. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty -- you can expect code snippets and excerpts from config files along with detailed instructions on how to make the most of your ALUI deployment.

He has over 15 years of experience in Information Technology with a forte in architecting, implementing and delivering end-to-end Enterprise Solutions.

Paul is a BEA Consultant based in the UK. Still a coder at heart, Paul likes the mix of high-level architecture and low-level technical problem solving which comes with the job. Paul specialises in BEA's WebLogic App Server, WebLogic SIP Server, AquaLogic Service Bus, AquaLogic Data Services, WebLogic RealTime and JRockit technologies.

Ray is a senior consultant with BEA ALUI (AquaLogic Interaction) group. His current work specializes on portal architecture and implementation. He is an active member, through contributing articles, giving presentations at conferences, and participating in user/community groups.

David Garrison
David Garrison is Senior Product Manager for AquaLogic Enterprise Security. David has been with BEA since 2005. Prior to BEA, he was a member of the Product Management team at Netegrity responsible for the SiteMinder Web single sign-on product and for the eProvision user provisioning product.

Satya Ghattu Satya Ghattu
Satya Ghattu works for Citigroup in the Architecture and Technology Engineering division and a member of WebLogic Center of Excellence Team. Satya and his team provide Architecture, IT, Engineering & Strategic support to new Business initiatives and their applications. Prior to Citigroup Satya worked for BEA Systems for more than five years as a Senior Software Engineer focusing on the Operations Administration and Management aspects of WebLogic Platform. Satya has vast experience in software development excelling in Middleware & Database Components and Core Java/J2EE technologies. He also leads a few open source projects and a contributor on Dev2Dev. Satya is the original author of WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST), the official command line tool for WebLogic Platform. Prior to BEA Systems he worked in variety of software industries in various different roles as a Senior Java developer, Software Analyst and as an Oracle DBA. Satya has a Masters Degree in Engineering from The University Of Akron, Ohio.

Marcus Hirt Marcus Hirt
Marcus is one of the founders of Appeal Virtual Machines, the company that created the Java Virtual Machine JRockit. He is currently working as Engineering Manager for the JRockit Mission Control team. In his spare time he enjoys coding on one of his many pet projects, and composing music.

Chris Hogue
Chris Hogue is a Senior Engineering Program Manager on the Eclipse Tools team. After spending several years working on Workshop features for JEE applications he now focuses on the developer tools for WebLogic Event Server. Chris has been with BEA for a cumulative 6 years during which time he held several different positions on the WebLogic Portal and Workshop teams.

Pieter Humphrey Pieter Humphrey
Pieter Humphrey has been at BEA for 7 years, working in technical sales and product marketing to help customers understand and apply our technology. In his current role, Pieter focuses on application development tools, Eclipse, and the general concept of blended source at BEA: the intersection of open source and commercial software.

Jesper Joergensen Jesper Joergensen
Jesper Joergensen is Director of Product Marketing for BEA's Business Process Management products. Jesper has been with BEA since 2003 and has covered many of BEA's WebLogic products. While Jesper is now mostly focused on strategy and relationships with industry analysts, partners and customers, he has been known to still open up Eclipse and crank out some code now and then.

Tejas is an Architect with at BEA Systems. He has been working with major clients assiting then in architecting solutions based on BEA technology stack. During last three years with BEA, He has been involved in architecting solutions based on WebLogic Portal, WebLogic Integration, Weblogic Communication Platform & Aqualogic Service Bus.

Erik Kayser Erik Kayser
Erik Kayser works in the WebLogic Communication Platform division as a Senior Project Manager. He fills his days with doing proof-of-concepts to telecom network providers and operators all over the world. Apart from that he is also doing a lot of development using our WLCP products WLNG and WLSS in his spare time and occasionally at job. Prior to joining BEA Erik worked as a senior consultant with architectures, development processes and project management at several companies in Sweden. These systems all have in common requirements for high availability 24/7, database driven and distributed architectures. Erik Kayser holds a B.Sc in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Malmö Högskola, Malmö, Sweden. He is a certified Java Programmer, Enterprise Architect and a Project Management Professional, PMP.

Peter Laird Peter Laird
Peter Laird is the Managing Architect for the WebLogic Portal engineering team at BEA. Peter currently focuses on combining enterprise portal technology with emerging ideas such as Mashups and Service Oriented Architecture.

Ken Lee
Ken manages product marketing for the WebLogic Communications Platform product family, which includes the WebLogic SIP Server and WebLogic Network Gatekeeper. He has 13 years of experience in product management and product marketing. Prior to BEA, he managed enterprise Java marketing initiatives at Sun Microsystems.

Gerald Nunn
Gerald Nunn is a business principal consultant with BEA Systems Professional Services. He is married with a four year old son and lives in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada.

Michael Palmeter
Michael Palmeter is the senior product manager for the WebLogic SIP Server and comes to BEA fresh from 5 years with Ericsson Research where he was the Technical and Strategic Product Manager for Ericsson's IMS application platform.

Sudhansu Pati Sudhansu Pati

Sudhansu works as a Sr. Systems Engineer at BEA since March 2006. Prior to that, he was working for Borland as a Sr. Systems Engineer. He is part of the BEA sales team and engages with customers during the pre-sales phase. He is passionate about new technologies in Java, RIA, SOA, BPM and Portal space. He has built and published in BEA Codeshare several applications that demonstrate the value of the above technologies. Most importantly, he focuses on the business benefits of these technologies. Recently has has built an application called Golf4Geeks that shows the power of RIA in a Java EE environment.

Sudhansu is a sun certified Java architect. He has acquired 6 java certifications from Sun. He believes in Java, .Net, Open Source and other related technologies. He speaks in BEA User Groups and seminars. He also works with BEA partner companies to build and showcase custom solutions that meet the customer's requirements.



Gilbert Pilz
Gilbert Pilz is a senior principal technologist within BEA's office of the CTO. Gilbert has over twenty years of software architecture and development experience across a variety of technologies and platforms including distributed systems infrastructures (Web Services, CORBA, DCE, NCS, and Banyan VINES), security systems (SAML, OpenSSL, IBM Tivoli Access Manager, JCE, etc.), and the UNIX operating system (SysV, BSD).

Andy Piper Andy Piper
Andy Piper is a Senior Staff Engineer in the WebLogic Server advanced development group. Andy has worked on WebLogic Server for the past 6 years and is responsible for many features and innovations. His interests include distributed systems, object-oriented design and development, high availability and open source. Andy holds a PhD and bachelor's degree from Cambridge University, UK.

Bob Rhubart Bob Rhubart
The path to Bob Rhubart's career as a writer and editor for BEA Systems' product marketing group spans more than thirty years and winds through stints as a furnace installer, a big-rig truck driver, and a car salesman, and includes more than 15 years working in a violin factory. Bob began freelance writing in his spare time in 1990, and his work -- mostly humor -- appeared in a variety of regional and national publications. His freelance writing led to a job in 1997 as a staff editor at Books.com -- the original online book store and the forerunner of Flashline, Inc. Bob joined Flashline in the fall of 1999, where he applied his writing and editing skills to the development of Web content, sales/marketing materials, and product documentation. Articles he has written for Flashline have appeared in Computerworld, Network World, and other industry publications. Flashline was acquired by BEA in August 2006. So was Bob.

Andrew Rosson
Andrew has been involved in the IT industry since 1995, and holds a deep passion for all things internet-based. His background has seen him migrate from coding PHP in the early years through to holding various Integration and Enterprise architecture roles, in his home state of Western Australia. Today Andrew specializes in the architecture, development and deployment of AquaLogic User Interaction, but the wonderful new world of Web 2.0 has definitely caught his attention. Now Andrew spends his day helping organisations transform their business, systems and corporate culture through the adoption of second-generation internet technologies such as social networking tools, wikis and mashups.

Irene Rusman Irene Rusman

Irene Rusman is a Senior Software Engineer with BEA. She works on AquaLogic Service Bus system integration and publishes white papers outlining integration implementation. She has over 5 years experience in Enterprise Application Integration and over 7 years experience developing large-scale distributed transactional systems.

Irene leads the Silicon Valley BEA Dev2Dev user group. She researches the companies with synergetic technologies and engages with them to share engineering insights. She also invites technical speakers from BEA and other companies who express their interest in presenting to the Dev2Dev community.



Fabien Sanglier Fabien Sanglier
Fabien Sanglier is a Portal Consultant at Project Performance Corporation (PPC), located in McLean, Virginia. With more than 6 years experience in web application development (both Java and DotNet), he has been specializing for 2 years in the various components of the Aqualogic Interaction suites (ALUI, Business Process, Data Services Platform, Service Bus), with a special emphasis on architecture, deployment, and customization of the AquaLogic User Interaction product.

Skip Sauls Skip Sauls
Skip Sauls is an Architect with BEA Systems for the WebLogic Portal product line. He is focused on emerging technologies for the web, with an emphasis on tools and frameworks. Before joining the architect team Skip was a product manager for WebLogic Portal from 2000-2007. He has long been a proponent of the WebLogic technologies, having come to BEA as part of the WebLogic, Inc. acquisition in 1998. Previously Skip has held positions in engineering, product management, and systems engineering with Visix Software, Inc. and SAIR, Inc.

Tim Sent Tim Sent
Tim Sent is a member of BEA's Enterprise Architect and SOA practices for the West region. Tim has 15 years experience designing and implementing solutions across a broad spectrum of technology platforms. He works closely with strategic clients to define solutions that leverage BEA's Aqualogic and WebLogic family of products as well as strategic service offerings provided by BEA. Tim also provides architecture workshops on topics ranging from SOA adoption, architecture methodologies, governance, and implementation best practices.

Reza Shafii Reza Shafii
Reza Shafii works for BEA Systems professional services. Reza’s main interests are in the areas of Enterprise Architecture, Application Integration, and Software Engineering. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Computer Science, with an Honors Thesis in Object Oriented Design and Analysis Methodologies, from the University of British Columbia.

Robin Smith Robin Smith
Robin Smith is the Senior Engineering Product Manager at BEA Systems for the WebLogic Time and Event Driven (TED) Product Family. Before coming to BEA he was a Product Manager for many years at Sun Microsystems where he managed the award winning, Java Studio Enterprise and several core infrastructure products. He has worked as a software engineer and architect for two decades, designing and developing numerous scalable and robust commercial applications, such as a VM Operating System Performance monitor and system management products for the AS/400.

Henrik Stahl Henrik Stahl
Henrik Ståhl works as a product manager in the JRockit team, and has been with BEA since 2004. His experience with JRockit goes back to the first public release, for which he was an early beta tester. He has previously worked as a developer, systems architect, with performance testing and tuning, and with IT security.

Michael Stamback Michael Stamback
Mike Stamback has been with BEA for a number of years working in a variety of technical and product marketing roles on several BEA products in the WebLogic and AquaLogic product families. Today he focuses on product strategy and positioning for WorkSpace 360, SOA Governance, and SOA Security and Management.

Chris Tomkins Chris Tomkins

Chris Tomkins has worked as a Senior Systems Engineer for BEA Systems since September 2007. Prior to this he worked as the team leader of the customer SWAT team for the WebSphere ESB product for IBM at Hursley Park near Winchester. He has extensive experience of working with customers on SOA projects incorporating ESB solutions and is always keen to share his knowledge with customers and team members alike.

He is looking forward to getting to grips with the AquaLogic family of products and working with customers to solve their SOA and ESB related problems.

During his five years at BEA he has held various positions in product management, including BPM, content management, portal federation, portal framework, and emerging portal standards.

Quinton Wall Quinton Wall

Quinton Wall is a Sr. Product Marketing Manager for Integration at BEA where he is responsible for articulating the strategic vision and direction of the products such as WebLogic Integration and AquaLogic Integration. Quinton, a certified Enterprise Architect and member of BEA's internal SOA Practice prides himself with looking at technology and the business of IT 'a bit different from the rest'. He firmly believes that tomorrow's problems can not be solved by today's thinking; rather a fresh perspective is often needed.

Originally from Australia, Quinton has been involved in the Java community since early 1996 where a number of colleagues formed Australia's first Java Users Group. Quinton now resides in Pacific Grove, California with his wife and 5 year old daughter (and about 50 Barbies, My Little Ponies etc..).



Lina Xu Lina Xu
Lina Xu is a Senior Software Engineer at BEA Systems in the System Test team. For the past 6 years she has worked on various projects including WebLogic Server, Core Engine, WLS-VE and currently working on WLOC (WebLogic Operations Control). She graduated from University of Massachusetts Lowell where she received a Masters of Computer Science degree.

Leon Zhang Leon Zhang
Leon Zhang is a senior software engineer of Weblogic server's Web container(servlet/JSP) team. He is the main developer of weblogic server's JSP compiler. He has big interests in compiling, OS and security technologies. He also likes playing basketball, climbing mountains, touring.
