Caching ToolsTimesTen Front-Tier
The TimesTen Front-Tier product works in conjunction with WebLogic Server and an existing corporate database (either Oracle8 or 8i) to cache an organization's most frequently accessed ("hot") content in a multi-tiered application architecture. Front-Tier works by locally caching pre-specified subsets of tables from the database that webLogic Server can access through JDBC, as it does any other data source. In doing so, Front-Tier can provide significant performance enhancements by removing the network and database overhead incurred in certain database access-intensive application architectures.

WebLogic Portal Cache Tuning Info
This package contains two items that are useful for tuning the caches in WebLogic Portal. The first is a jsp page that displays statistics about caches that are currently running in your application. The second is a list of caches that you may encounter in a portal application, as well as details about each cache.
