WebLogic Server 8.1 SP4 Multipool and Oracle 9i/10g RAC Patch

BEA is making this WebLogic Server 8.1 SP4 support patch generally available. This patch enables WebLogic Server 8.1 SP4 multipools to be used in conjunction with Oracle 9i RAC or Oracle 10g RAC to support connection pool failover and load balancing for applications using XA transactions. BEA recommends that you apply this patch to your system if you are using WebLogic Server 8.1 SP4 with Oracle 9i RAC or Oracle 10g RAC and are using XA transactions. This WebLogic Server 8.1 SP4 support patch is supported by WebLogic Server 8.1 SP4 only and is not supported by other WebLogic Platform products. This patch is compatible with non-XA usage, and incorporates support previously delivered in the WebLogic Platform 8.1 SP4 patch for Oracle 9i RAC driver-level failover.

To apply the patch, download the zip file and review the README file included for further detailed instructions. NOTE: This patch has received updates since it was originally published. Please contact BEA Support to obtain the most current version of the patch.
